What do Culturescene breaks consist of?
We provide a range of holidays and short breaks including Walking Breaks, City Breaks and Weekend Getaways. Our breaks generally comprise a balance of activity, relaxation and social interaction.
Are you a singles operator?
No. Many of our clients are single people but we also attract couples and small groups of friends. The majority of our clients attending our events are wanting to experience different cultures and walks of life while having fun and meeting people. Others simply want to experience different pursuits and make new friends.
Are Culturescene events and breaks structured around a set itinerary?
Yes, a daily itinerary is arranged, however all of our events are completely optional. If during a weekend break for example, a visit to a museum is arranged on the Saturday afternoon, the tour guide will tally up the total amount of people wanting to attend beforehand. If you would rather do your own thing in the daytime and meet up with the rest of the group for the evening meal this is entirely up to you.
I am a single traveller. Will I be
allocated someone to share a room with?
We try wherever possible to provide single rooms for single travellers
with no additional supplement. At certain times of the year during
busy periods it may be necessary to share, if so you will be advised
of this in advance.
What sort of people attend Culturescene events?
Most of our clients are professional people from various backgrounds who enjoy travel and meeting new people.
What are the average ages of Culturescene clients?
Our events are open to people of all age groups above the age of 18. The majority of our clients are between the ages of 25 - 55.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards, telephone payment and cheque. All online payments are processed via secure WorldPay site.
How early do I need to book?
We advise to book as early as possible in order for us to reserve the necessary travel and accommodation arrangements. If making a booking within 8 weeks of the event the total amount will be payable in order to secure the booking. For any single day events we accept bookings up until the day before, provided there is sufficient room on the event.
Who are the Events run by?
Our events are run by friendly and approachable Culturescene tour guides. Specialist courses such as dance instruction and language building are ran by professionals working within this sector.
What happens after I have reserved a place?
After making a booking, an e-mail will be sent confirming your place on the chosen event. Once payment has been received, we will then forward on the full details of the event including meeting times, places, and any information on what to wear or bring.
How is my payment secured if booking an accommodation break?
In accordance with the 1992 package travel regulations, your payment is held in a separate trust account until after the event has taken place. Your payment is therefore protected should the company experience any financial difficulties.
